REPAIR works are currently ongoing on the Salaga–Kpandai road, which became impassable recently after heavy rains washed away parts of the stretch, leaving commuters and residents stranded for days.

In response, the Member of Parliament for Salaga-South, Hon. Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, in collaboration with the Ministry of Roads and Highways, initiated temporary rehabilitation works to restore access. Efforts are also underway to ensure the main contractor returns to site soon to resume full reconstruction.
As part of monitoring efforts, NDC Constituency Chairman, Mr. Haruna Abdul Aziz, and Director of Special Projects, Mr. Mustapha Nafiu, visited the site to inspect progress.

According to the site foreman, the ongoing repairs are expected to be completed within the next three days, providing much-needed relief to commuters.
During the visit, the team engaged with residents along the affected stretch, updating them on the MP’s intervention and plans for a lasting solution.

The residents expressed their gratitude to Hon. Hajia Zuwera for her swift action and appealed to the government to fast-track the return of the main contractor to complete the project.
