A LEADING National Democratic Congress (NDC) activist in the Northern Region, Mr. Mohammed Abdul-Salem, Acting Director-General, National Lottery Authority ( NLA), has assured party grassroots supporters that the leadership of the party remains committed to maintaining close contact with members despite the increasing responsibilities of some regional executives in government.

His assurance follows concerns raised by some NDC grassroots members on social media over what they described as a weakening connection between the party’s regional leadership and its support base.
Responding to the concerns, Mr. Abdul-Salem commended the members for openly expressing their views, describing their concerns as a sign of commitment to the growth and success of the party.
According to him, the NDC is founded on democratic principles and therefore welcomes constructive criticism and feedback from its members.
He stressed that the concerns raised by the grassroots have been noted and assured members that party leaders would intensify efforts to strengthen engagement across the region.
Mr. Abdul-Salem explained that although several regional executives are currently serving the nation in various capacities, their new responsibilities have not affected their commitment to the party.

He noted that the Northern Regional Minister and other executives continue to work tirelessly under demanding schedules while remaining dedicated to the welfare and progress of the NDC.
The activist also rejected suggestions that he had lost touch with the grassroots, saying his communication platforms clearly show his regular interactions and meetings with party members across the various districts in the region.
“I remain fully committed to our grassroots supporters. Even when I am in Accra, I make time to respond to calls and messages from party members, sometimes late into the night,” he stated.
Mr. Abdul-Salem disclosed that he frequently spends weekends in Tamale to interact with members and attend to party-related matters. He added that whenever he is unavailable, his office remains open and his team is always ready to assist party members.
He encouraged supporters to continue engaging with the leadership and assured them that their concerns would always receive the needed attention.

Reaffirming his dedication to the NDC, Mr. Abdul-Salem said he remains guided by honesty, truthfulness and service to the people who worked tirelessly to bring the party to power.
He further called on party faithful to remain united and focused on the collective goal of strengthening the NDC and supporting the development agenda of Ghana.
Mr. Abdul-Salem concluded by expressing gratitude to party members for their loyalty, sacrifice and unwavering support, urging them to continue working together for the progress of both the NDC and the nation.
