THE MEMBER of Parliament for Salaga South, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has donated 650 bags of sugar (50kg each) to Muslims in the constituency in preparation for the 2026 Ramadan.
The donation is part of her yearly support to constituents during Ramadan, the holy month when Muslims fast, pray, and reflect.
At a short ceremony to begin the distribution, the Constituency Chairman, Mr. Haruna Abdul Aziz, received the items on behalf of the party and the beneficiaries. He praised the MP for her strong leadership and continued support for the grassroots.
He also prayed that Allah blesses her for the gesture and assured that the sugar would be shared fairly and transparently.
The 650 bags will be distributed to needy residents through party branches, community and religious leaders, traditional authorities, imams, and leaders of women and youth groups across the constituency.
In her Ramadan message, Hajia Zuwera Ibrahimah encouraged Muslims to use the holy month to pray for peace, unity, and development in the constituency and the country.
She reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the Muslim community and maintaining a strong relationship with them. Distribution has already started in the Salaga and Kpembe wards.
