THE AMASAMAN High Court has reduced the prison sentence of self-styled evangelist Nana Agradaa from 15 years with hard labour to 12 calendar months.
The decision was delivered on February 5, 2026. The court described the original sentence as harsh and excessive, but it maintained her conviction.
The new sentence takes effect from July 3, 2025, the date she was originally convicted. The ruling has generated strong public reaction, with many debating whether the reduced punishment matches the seriousness of her offences.

Nana Agradaa, who was once known as a fetish priestess before becoming an evangelist, was initially sentenced to 15 years early last year. That decision sparked widespread public discussion and legal debate.
In explaining its ruling, the court said punishment was necessary but stressed that the initial sentence was not proportionate to the offence. This, the judge said, justified the significant reduction.
The ruling marks a major development in a case that has drawn nationwide attention. More updates will follow as the story develops.
