HON. JOANA Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for the Amenfi Central Constituency in the Western Region, is redefining leadership through a compelling fusion of entrepreneurial excellence, political vision, and deep grassroots engagement.
Widely admired for her dynamic leadership style and results-driven approach, she stands today as one of Ghana’s most influential female figures in both politics and business.
A seasoned entrepreneur and global businesswoman, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe is the only widely recognized female licensed gold exporter in Ghana.
She oversees a diversified business portfolio spanning mining, construction, agriculture, energy, and technology. Since 2019, her enterprises have successfully mobilized and managed over USD 400 million in structured gold-linked investment and export operations, underscoring her credibility and strength in capital mobilization and execution.
Under her leadership, her business group, led by Golden Empire Legacy Limited (GEL) and its subsidiaries, has created more than 3,200 direct and indirect jobs, contributing meaningfully to local and national economic growth.
Her operations are anchored in strong compliance standards, responsible sourcing, and traceability, earning recognition from both domestic and international institutions.
In Parliament, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe brings private-sector discipline to public service, channeling her experience into tangible development outcomes for Amenfi Central.
Her legislative and constituency priorities focus on expanding electricity access to underserved communities, improving critical road networks, strengthening education and healthcare infrastructure, and advancing digital connectivity to promote economic inclusion.

HON. Cudjoe’s commitment to social impact extends beyond policy. Through her foundation and personal initiatives, she has delivered transformative community interventions, including the construction and support of schools and healthcare facilities, clean-water projects, and scholarships benefiting more than 8,000 students.
She also provides continuous support to community teachers across 28 communities and has sponsored annual free health-screening programmes since 2020, reaching thousands of residents.
