THE MEMBER of Parliament for the Salaga South Constituency, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has undertaken a working visit to the headquarters of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva, Switzerland, as part of her official engagements at the international level.
Her visit coincides with her participation in the 100th Session of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), a landmark gathering that brings together policymakers, child-rights advocates, and international stakeholders to deliberate on critical issues affecting child protection, welfare, and the advancement of children’s rights worldwide.
During her interaction at the IPU offices, Hajia Mohammed Ibrahimah emphasized that her presence in Geneva forms part of Ghana’s broader engagement with global partners to strengthen parliamentary cooperation and promote policies that safeguard the rights and well-being of children.
She noted that insights and outcomes from the ongoing CRC sessions would be communicated to relevant stakeholders back home in due course, reinforcing Ghana’s commitment to aligning national policies with international child-rights standards.

The Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), headquartered in Geneva, serves as a global organization of national parliaments, working to promote democracy, peace, and sustainable development through dialogue, cooperation, and legislative support across countries.
