Salaga South MP Applauds Democratic Actors & Backs Ghana as Afrobarometer Headquarters

THE MEMBER of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency, Hon. Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimiah, has commended the individuals and institutions that continue to strengthen Ghana’s democratic governance.

Addressing Parliament, she praised their consistent efforts in promoting transparency, accountability, and the fight against corruption—values she said have significantly shaped Ghana’s democratic progress.

Hon. Ibrahimiah also declared her full support for the motion to establish the Afrobarometer headquarters in Ghana, noting that hosting the renowned research institution would reinforce the country’s leadership in democratic development, governance reforms, and credible data production.

She expressed confidence that situating Afrobarometer in Ghana would further enhance the nation’s democratic advancement.
