THE GHANA Gold Board has denied reports that it has made losses of more than GH₵3 billion in its first year of operation.
In a statement released on Monday, November 17, 2025, in Accra, the Board described a publication by Asaaseradio making this claim as “false” and “deliberately aimed at undermining the successes” of the institution.
According to the Gold Board, it has rather been making “significant surpluses and profits” since it was set up. It added that its quarterly financial reports will soon be published on its official website to prove this.
The Board urged the public to ignore the claims by Asaaseradio, calling the report “misleading and unethical.” It also asked the management of the station to retract the story and issue an unqualified apology to Ghanaians.
The statement was signed by the Media Relations Unit of the Ghana Gold Board, Prince Kwame Minka.
