
THE GHANA Free Zones Authority (GFZA) is seeking stronger investment ties with Hungary to promote export-led businesses under its Free Zones Programme.
Dr. Mary Awusi, CEO of GFZA, paid a courtesy call on Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Tamás Endre Fehér, to discuss potential areas of cooperation. She highlighted Ghana’s readiness to host investors, pointing to available incentives and land within designated zones.

Dr. Awusi also praised Hungary’s strengths in education and agriculture, which continue to benefit Ghana.
Ambassador Fehér said Hungarian investors are keen on sectors like chemical materials, poultry, and training initiatives. He called for further engagement to understand the Free Zones scheme better and welcomed GFZA’s participation in upcoming Hungary-Ghana business forums.


The meeting stressed on GFZA’s commitment to building strategic international partnerships to boost investment and strengthen Ghana’s industrial base.
Dr. Awusi was joined by Deputy CEO (Finance & Administration), Mr. Hamidu Sibiri Musah, and other directors of the Authority.
