THE MUNICIPAL Chief Executive (MCE) for Ayawaso Central, Hon. Rudolph Colling-Woode Williams, says development in the municipality is steadily progressing through strong community engagement and a commitment to inclusive leadership.
Speaking in an interview Nationaltymes.com, the MCE stressed on the importance of working closely with traditional authorities to achieve results.
“We don’t work in isolation. I’ve been actively engaging with chiefs, traditional leaders, and religious heads to make sure our development agenda reaches the people through trusted voices,” he explained. “These leaders are close to the people and help us mobilize community support.”
On the question of visible change since taking office, the MCE said development is a process, not an overnight transformation.
“Change can’t be measured by a fixed timeline,” he noted. “But every day you pass through Ayawaso Central, you’ll see some improvement; whether it’s in sanitation, roads, education infrastructure, or basic services.”
He pointed to better street cooperation, cleaner surroundings, and more responsive governance as indicators of progress. “Gradual improvements are happening, and with the continued support of all stakeholders, we’ll keep moving forward,” he added.
The MCE encouraged residents to monitor changes themselves and remain active in the municipality’s development drive.
