THE DIRECTOR General of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Major (Rtd) Dr. Joseph Bikanyi Kuyon has joined President John Dramani Mahama at Agavedzi in the Ketu South District to launch Phase II of the Blekusu Sea Defence Project
Major (Rtd) Dr. Bikanyi Kuyon was supported by his Deputy Director in charge of Operations, Hon. Teddy Safori Addi to witness the launch Phase II of the Project.
Agavedzi and nearby communities have long suffered from tidal waves that destroy homes and livelihoods. The President said the project will protect lives, homes, and the local fishing economy.
A modern fish market with cold storage and a lorry station will also be built to help boost trade and transportation.
NADMO’s involvement highlights its commitment to disaster prevention and coastal safety.
