
ACCRA Metropolitan University (AMU) has held its Graduation and Honorary Doctorate Conferment Ceremony, marking a major milestone following the award of its Presidential Charter.
Founder, Prof. Joshua Alabi, praised the institution’s transformation from Laweh Open University and its pioneering role in online education in Ghana. He thanked the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for its support and urged graduates to uphold discipline, innovation, and service.


AMU also conferred honorary doctorates on the Inspector General of Police and the Managing Director of Ghana Telecel for their distinguished service in public safety and technology.
Prof. Alabi revealed future expansion plans, supported by land allocations from Nungua traditional authorities, and congratulated both graduates and honourees.
