The Office of the Ga Mantse has firmly dissociated itself from a solidarity walk being promoted on social media and scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025.
A press release issued today described the flyer promoting the event as a “wicked and malicious lie” aimed at tarnishing the reputation of Nii Ga, a leader known for his commitment to the rule of law.
According to the release, signed by Theophilus Kingsley Quartey on behalf of the Office’s Secretary, the Ga Mantse and his elders were not consulted and do not endorse the event.

The statement warned the public and security agencies of potential chaos being planned by a group allegedly led by Kelvin Tackie, who is said to be printing T-shirts bearing the image of Boni King Tackie Adama Latse II to incite violence during a parallel walk.
The Ga Mantse’s Office appealed to law enforcement authorities to arrest individuals wearing such T-shirts, stressing that Boni King Tackie Adama Latse II supports peace and the rule of law and does not endorse any form of unrest.
The statement concludes by urging calm and vigilance, with a copy of the flyer said to be attached for reference.
