
THE PARAMOUNT Chief and President of the Kpone Traditional Council, Nii Tetteh Otu II, has paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Dr. Mary Awusi, to strengthen collaboration between the two entities.
The meeting, held on Friday, March 14, 2025, focused on enhancing the chief’s understanding of the GFZA’s operations and exploring ways to foster a stronger partnership, particularly as the Kpone Traditional Area hosts the Tema Export Processing Zone.
During discussions, Nii Tetteh Otu II emphasized key development concerns, including community projects, educational initiatives and the rehabilitation of the local clinic.
In response, Dr. Awusi reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the Traditional Council and assured the delegation that their concerns would be presented at the Management and Board levels for further consideration.

She also urged the Kpone Traditional Council to help maintain a safe and conducive business environment for investors and industries operating within the Tema Export Processing Zone.
High-Powered Delegation in Attendance
The Kpone Traditional Council delegation was led by Nii Tetteh Otu II and included the Presiding Member of the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly (KKMA), the Senior Registrar and other key council members.
