DR. AGNES NAA Momo Lartey, Minister Designate for the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), has extended her heartfelt appreciation to all who supported her during her vetting process.

The vetting, conducted by the Appointments Committee, was part of the nomination process under the leadership of H.E. John Dramani Mahama.

In a statement of gratitude, Dr. Naa Momo Lartey showed great appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing her to such a prestigious ministry.

She also  commended the Appointments Committee for their progressive and constructive engagement. She also paid tribute to traditional leaders, highlighting the pivotal roles of Nungua Mantse, H.R.M King Prof. Odaifio Welentsi III—Paramount Chief of the Nungua Traditional Council and President of the Greater Accra Regional House of Chiefs.

She also acknowledged Mene Waker III, Paramount Chief of Ningo-Parampram, and the Nuumo Gborbu Wulomo-Shitse of Nungua and representatives of the Nungua Clan Houses, for their patience, guidance and unwavering support.

Dr. Naa Momo Lartey expressed appreciation for the Chief Director of the MoGCSP, members of the clergy from Krowor and beyond, representatives from the NDC Disability Desk, civil society organizations and other stakeholders who stood by her throughout the process.

Their presence, she noted, was a source of inspiration and strength.

Special mention was made of the Krowor NDC family, including the Chairman, Constituency Executive Committee (CEC) members, Honorable Assembly Members and grassroots supporters, whose encouragement and solidarity were critical to her journey.

Dr. Momo Lartey concluded her message by thanking all well-wishers, friends and collaborators for their enduring support. She said, “I am deeply moved by the overwhelming support and goodwill extended to me. God richly bless you all.”

The vetting process marks a significant milestone in Dr. Naa Momo Lartey’s journey toward leading one of the most critical ministries in Ghana, which focuses on gender equality, child protection and social welfare.

Her nomination has been met with optimism and widespread backing from various stakeholders.
