
IN A STRATEGIC move to reinforce governance, the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has submitted his first set of ministerial nominations to Parliament, in accordance with Article 78 of the 1992 Constitution of Ghana. .
The nominees, chosen for their extensive expertise and leadership capabilities are expected to head critical sectors of the government.

Key Appointments:

1. Hon. John Abdulai Jinapor – Nominated as Minister for Energy Designate. With hands-on experience in energy management, Jinapor is recognized for his competence in addressing energy challenges. He holds an impressive portfolio of academic qualifications, including an MA in Economic Policy Management, an MSc in Energy Economics from GIMPA and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Financial Law from the University of London. 2. Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson – Nominated as Minister for Finance Designate Dr. Forson is a seasoned economist, chartered accountant and tax practitioner. With a distinguished career in public finance, macroeconomics and fiscal policy, he has served as a five-term lawmaker.
He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and advanced degrees in Taxation and Economics from Oxford and KNUST. Dr. Forson’s nomination underscores Mahama’s focus on sound economic planning.

3. Hon. Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine – Nominated as Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Designate. A senior lawyer with over three decades of experience, Dr. Ayine previously served as Deputy Attorney General. He is the founding partner of Ayine & Partners Law Offices and holds a Ph.D. in Law from Stanford University, an LL.M from Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ghana. His expertise positions him to lead critical legal reforms and strengthen the justice system.
