THE CHIEF of Teacher Mante near Suhum in the Eastern Region, Nana Barima Gyekye Mante has been accused of selling people’s lands clandestinely.

MR. & MRS. ANIM, OWNERS OF THE 4 HECTARES OF LAND AT TEACHER MANTE, NEAR SUHUM.

At a press conference held in the area, Mr. and Mrs. Anim explained the odeal Nana Gyekye Mante took them through over a parcel of land they bought from two different families in the area.

According to Mr. Anim, they bought 4 hectares land 12 years ago from one family and later another family came to claim ownership of the land. And they had to pay for the same parcels of landagain.

THE PORTION OF 4 HECTARE LAND OSMAN BIDA IS DEVELOPING INTO FUEL STATION.

He told the media that Nana Gyekye Mante who was just installed as new chief of Teacher Mante also sold one hectare of the 4 hectares land. He however hinted that this same chief led him and wife to Okyehene’s land secretariat to pay for royalties for his properties.

In spite of his assistance, Nana Gyekye Mante has the notoriety to sell 4 plots of land his lands to one Osuman Bida to construct fuel station.

“Our lives are now being threatened with land guards and Okyeman task force with the new developer, Mr. Osman Bida behind it”, Mr. Anim said.

‘AKYEM-MAFIA’ CHIEF, BARIMA GYEKYE  MANTE, SELLER OF PEOPLE’S LANDS.

To this effect, the Anim family is appealing for nothing but justice at the court to help curb the indiscriminate reselling of people’s lands to unsuspected persons.

Although the Nsawam High Court placed an injunction on the disputed parcel of land but Mr Bida is adamant as he keeps developing it without any regards to the injunction.
