OPPOSITION NATIONAL Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region has inaugurated the Youth Working Committee and party volunteers in South Tongu Constituency over the weekend on the theme “Youth Wave”.

The Youth Working Committee and volunteers were charged to work hard to change the voting patterns in order to increase votes from over 48, 700 close to 60, 000.
Volta Regional NDC Chairman, Mr. Mawutor Agbavitor admonished the various branch executives to put their differences behind them and work to increase the chances of Former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC Parliamentary Candida (PC), Maxwell Lukutor.

He explained that this year’s election is critical because the failed ruling NPP want to rig it after messing up the economy, and they should not be allowed another chance to rule.
Volta Regional NDC Chairman, Mr. Agbavitor was unhappy that some branch members were harbouring pains from the last year’s primaries and thinking of voting skirt and blouse just because their parliamentary aspirant lost the bid.

He pleaded that they should rather move on and think of how to help canvass for more votes to bring the NDC back to power.
Other National and Regional Executives who graced the inauguration took their turns to enourage the youth and volunteers to go to all nooks and crunnies of the South Tongu Constituency to garner votes for the party.
Elikem Kotoko, Deputy National Organiser explained the advantages of the 24-hour Economy which would help curb the unemployment situation amongst the Ghanaian youth. He was optimistic that the 24-hour Economy will solve the hardship the NPP created in all areas of the economy, and they end up stealing the state resources.

This criminality plunged the country into bankruptcy. To this, he discouraged aggrieved branch members who would want to vote skirt and blouse; citing that it would affect the number of NDC members of parliament and for President John Dramani Mahama.
The massively attended event trigged a diarrhoea amongst the incompetent Nana Akufo-Addo/Bawumia governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Constituency, to summon an emergency constituency meet last Monday morning.

This meeting was to map out a strategy on how to thwart every move by the NDC towards rallying the people of South Tongu to vote for the NDC.
Some of the speakers at the “Youth Wave” event were the current MP, Kobena Mensah Woyome; Prof. Morgan Nyendu (aka Afordokadzi), the two Deputy National Youth Organisers; Osman Ayariga and Ruth Sedoh, Volta Regional Youth Organiser, Mathias Johnson Alagbo amongst many others.

Mr. Alagbo urged his colleague youth in South Tongu to work hard for the NDC to return to power in 2025. He promised them of orientation in their area of work.
