AYAWASO CENTRAL NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate (PC), Abdul-Rauf Tubazu has stressed that they are eveready to recover the parliamentary seat come December 7, 2024.
He said this in an interview with Nationaltymes.com after a health walk dubbed “24hr Walk” organised by the youth wing of the NDC in the area as part of their planned activities to rally support for the party.
The NDC PC hinted that they have learnt a lot, especially in the 2020 general elections; so this time around they are not going to allow the NPP to get away with it.
Mr. Tubazu indicated that people are suffering seriously so the onus lies on them as a party to rescue the country. The Ayawaso central NDC is embarking on a rescue mission from now to help ease the NPP created hardship on the people, he stated.
“Even today, the supporters and sympathisers of this clueless ruling NPP led by President Akufo-Addo and his Vice-President, Dr. Mahamoudu Bawumiah are complaining more than the NDC followers”, PC said.
He emphasized that the NDC knew the NPP was coming to mess up the economy to bring hardship to the innocent Ghanaians who voted for them.
Abdul-Rauf Tubazu, who won’t disclose the NDC strategy going into 2024 general elections in the Constituency, warned that this time, they are not going to allow any criminal activities to rig elections at the collation centre.
In the 2020 elections, the Ayawaso Central MP, Henry Quartey Deployed Army and Police officers to the collation centre at ATTC when he was the Deputy Interior Minister, where they help him retain the seat.
Although, four (4) of the staffed ballot boxes from known polling stations were burnt to ashes at the ATTC collation centre by some NDC boys, the Hon. MP, Henry Quartey was able to sail through.
The 24hr Walk which was organised by the youth wing in the Constituency brought some national and regional executives who took part; Chief Sofo Azoka, National Vice-Chairman and Deputy National Organiser Incharge of Operation, Elikem Kotoko.
The Greater Accra Regional Executives were Deputy Organiser, Gambo, Amos Blessing Amose, Regional Youth Organiser and Alhaji Norga, Treasurer.
They all took their turns to address the teeming youth who turned out in their numbers in the 24hr Walk.
