THE NDC DELEGATES for Ayawaso East Constituency in the Greater Accra Region have retained their MP for 2024 Parliamentary slot.
Hon. Mc Nasser Mahama Toure is the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the people of Ayawaso East Constituency. He pulled 452 votes cast to beat his 2 contenders.
Hon. Lawyer Baba Jamal who contested for the first time pulled 309 votes and Dr. Yakubu Azindow, a political lecturer at Massachusetts University in USA had 245 votes.
In an interview with the media Mc Nasser invites his contenders to join him to maximize votes this time around in the Ayawaso East Constituency in order to catapult the NDC back to power in 2025.
The soft spoken MP promised to ensure unity amongst the followers of his two contenders, Lawyer Baba Jamal and Dr. Yakubu Azindow towards the NDC victory in 2024.
Mc Nasser was grateful to the constituency executives; he was mindful not to take the Ayawaso East delegates for granted as he promised to honour the promises he made or made on his behalf.
Total number of delegates who voted for the three (3) aspirants were 1010 with four (4) rejected ballots. With the Presidential, 1006 voted for Former President John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Kwabena Duffour got 2 votes whilst Kojo Bonso also got 2 with one (1) rejected ballot.
