The Greater Accra Regional Deputy Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Jessica Patience Braimah has expressed gratitude to her colleagues Women’s Organisers across the region.
Madam Braimah was delighted she has been retained in the just ended Greater Accra Regional delegates elections conference.
She was grateful to the Women’s Wing for retaining her to continue with her good work. In an interview with Nationaltymes.com at Tema Sports Stadium after her swearing in together with other regional executive members, she promised to work to improve on her hardworking in support of her boss, Felicia Mekpoi Bortey, the Regional Women’s Organiser.
Jessica Braimah said that she dedicated her retention to God Almighty for making it possible for her to be retained ones again as the deputy to the Greater Accra Regional NDC’s women’s front.
She iterated that the NDC’s delegates election is mainly internal democratic contest which ensures they come together to unite against the New Patriotic Party (NPP), their common political enemy.
Madam Jessica Patience Braimah appealed to all her colleague contenders to support them with their ideas and experiences to help to mobilize more young women to vote for the NDC in 2024 general elections to bring back the party to power in 2025.
Madam Braimah told this portal in an interview that she rose through the ranks as a grassroot person and today, hard work is what won her the favour of the delegates who retain her for the deputy position for the second time.
The retained Greater Accra Regional Deputy Women’s Organiser has further expressed her gratitude to all the 81 delegates for reposing confidence and retaining her to continue with her good work.
She reiterated her call to her colleague contenders to join her to help increase the number of Parliamentary Seats across the Greater Accra Region by working hard to increasing the votes for the NDC and the former President John Dramani Mahama to return to the Flag-Staff (Jubilee) House in 2025.
The Region elects two persons to deputise the substantive women organiser. The two (2) other strong women who aspired for the Deputy Women’s Organizer position were, Hajia Alimatu Musah Issah, incumbent, and Evelyn Dodzi Dzeketey, who fortunately replaced Hajia Alimatu Issah.
