The impression created that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of The Republic of Ghana has Toured Eastern Region to expect projects as speculated in the news is a hoax.

Nationaltymes.com has gathered that President Akufo-Addo only visited about 9 Constituencies and left for Accra.
One Moses Tettey Dometey, a Youth Activist in the Eastern Region stated that the region is made of 33 Constituencies. To this, he quizzed that must the President select few Constituencies to visit to claim he had toured Eastern Region?
He also argued that if the president’s claim is anything to go by in relation to inspecting projects then that would be the handful projects he could do in 6 years in power in those few constituencies out of 33 as his achievements. Nana Akufo-Addo should have rather visited about 24 of 33 constituencies for it to look like a tour, he argued further.
He pointed out that Eastern Region has been put into blocs; the Akyem bloc, the Akuapim bloc and the Krobo bloc. Nana Addo’s government has no much achievements in the Eastern Region especially in most of the constituencies including the Krobo Bloc.
The Krobo bloc is made of Lower Manya Krobo, Yilo Krobo, Upper Manya and Asuogyaman. “He has never been there for any inspections so what makes it a tour of the Eastern Region instead of the few selected Constituencies such as Abetifi, Nkawkaw, Ofoase , Asene Manso Akroso, Nsawan, Atiwa west, Abuakwa south, New juaben. How can you classify visiting of nine Constituencies out of thirty-three (33) Constituencies as touring a whole region?”, he quizzed.

“About six years and still counting in office, you do not have any big achievements in Eastern Region, especially, the Krobo Bloc”, the Youth Activist stressed.
He was of the view that President Akufo-Addo has not done any tangible development projects in most parts of the Eastern Region hence the reason for visiting the few constituencies. “The President knows that he would be hooted at for his abysmal performance hence his decision to swerve touring all parts of the Region”, Moses Tettey Dometey asserted.
