The fortunate Ga West (Amasaman) Constituency NPP MP in Accra, Mr. Akwesi Afrifa-Mensah is torn between the people he represents in parliament and the governing NPP over the obnoxious E-levy.
Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo led NPP administration wickedly forcing to impose unrecognised tax in any form on Ghanaians who are opposing it for months now.
Like many NPP MPs, Amasaman MP who managed to snatch the parliamentary seat which alluded the party for years, has a lot of pressure being exerting on him by his constituents to come out to tell whether he is for or against the E-levy his government trying to introduce.
The confused Amasaman MP is seriously under pressure as to how to declare his stance and to support the passage of the e-levy or otherwise of it.
After calling their MP, Mr. Afrifa-Mensah to declare his stands, the people of Amasaman Constituency described the e-levy as vampire and extortion scheme (tax) to impoverish the already suffering poor Ghanaians.
The people accused their MP for supporting the Roads and Highway Minister, Mr. Amoako Atta to sack the People With Disabilities – PWDs working to earn a living at the Kpobiman toll booth on the Accra-Nsawan road.
Information Nationaltymes.com picked in the Amasaman Constituency indicates that the MP wished Parliament will carry out secret voting for him to also vote according to wish of the majority of the people who against the killer E-levy.
