The Legislator for the people of La Dade-Kotopon Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Hon. Rita Naa Odoley Sowah has quenched the hunger of her people in soccer for a month.
The people of La Dade-Kotopon are noted for their interest in soccer and other sporting activities after the day’s hard work to thwart the bordorm they have accumulated during the activities of the day.
She organised a football Gala in the constituency for the youth from various electoral areas as a means of entertainment prior to Christmas through to the new year.
La Salem park was fully packed with spectators ranging from work, pensioners and students who were back from school for the Christmas holidays to watch the Gala.
On Wednesday, December 22, 2021 Kakramadu Electoral Area played Cantonment Electoral Area and won by 2 goals to nil. This qualifies Kakramadu for the semi-final in January.
After the match, the Hon Member of Parliament, Madam Rita Naa Odoley Sowah met with La Ladies, the only female football club in the Municipality who currently plays in national division one league.
As a football loving lady, Hon encouraged them to take footballing seriously alongside their studies since that’s what they chose as one of their professions.
