A United Kingdom, UK based Ghanaian and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CODE57, David Nii Adjaye has stated that President Akufo-Addo has failed the Ghanaian miserably.
Nii Adjayei further opined that Nana Addo has nothing to offer the youth hence, he
urged the youth to embark on a serious revolution to achieve their economic power.
He also noted that the rising insecurity in Ghana in recent times worrying and the situation must be blamed on the President Akufo-Addo led NPP administration.
The current situation in Ghana, he said spells doom for the future generations, and if the youth of today failed to rise up to take their own destiny in their hands, these selfish politicians would continue to destroy the good foundation laid by the forebears.
In an interview with Nationaltymes.com, Nii Adjaye indicated that his visit to the scene and the bereaved family the Ghanaian citizens who were killed unprovocatively in Ejura left him with questions whether the security agencies, Police and Army involved were trained to protect the country or to killed their citizens.
Nii Adjaye made the call when he was speaking in an interview with this portal on the sideline of the launch of the Greater Accra Regional Bloc of Tourism Aid Ghana, TAG in Accra last Saturday, July 10, 2021.
He said, freedom is hard to gain, and the time has come for the youth of this country to use every means possible to free themselves from these unscrupulous politicians in the country.
He downplayed on the importance of the Interior Ministry’s three-member Committee announced by the Hon. Minister, Ambrose Dery, to look into the irresponsible killing of three persons at Ejura Sekyere Dumase Municipality in the Ashante Region.
This unjustifiable Killing of this youth by some soldiers and an individual for doing what they did as citizens was appalling.
The members of the committee are; Justice George Kingsley Koomson (Justice of the Court of Appeal), Dr. Vladimir Antwi Danso, a security expert and Juliet Antwi Amoah, Executive Director, Penplusbyte.
The CEO of CODE57 doubted if something good could really come out of the committee’s work due to past examples.
According to him, committees setup by President Akufo-Addo in a similar situation, government refused to implement their findings and recommendations.
Emil Shot Committee Report on the Ayawaso West Wuogon state sponsored shooting and maiming people during the elections is a living example fruitless report.
In in view of this, he calls on the youth not to rely so much on the government since it has absolutely nothing good to offer them.
The CEO of CODE57, David Nii Adjaye noted and lamented that “what is happening in this country right now is that people cannot talk, you talk they get you killed. Government has no plans to help the youth”.
