Dzaasetse of the Ga Abola Tunma We, NII Ayi Ana Kon Teh I, has warned Kelvin Tackie, aka Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II to stop influencing some elders of the Ga State to help him get the position to become Ga Mantse at all cost.
Nii Ayi Ana Kon Teh I, also warns those who have been going to extort money from the Self-Style Ga Mantse, Kelvin Tackie a.k.a King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, with the promise to support him to become Ga Mantse.
Dzaasetse Nii Ayi Ana Kon Teh I, suspected most of his kings men in the Ga State go to take money from Kelvin Tackie and promise him of their support to get him properly accepted Ga Mantse.
The Tunma We Royal Stool Dzaasetse called on the elders of the various quarters within the Ga State, priests and priestesses to desist from the continuous visit to this illegitimate Ga Mantse all in demand of money with the assurance of offering him their support as Ga Mantse.
He also implored the general public and all institutions to disregard Kelvin Tackie as the Ga Mantse
Nii Dzaase made these statement when he interacted with the media in Accra after the harvesting of the corn and millet by the Lante Djan We Royal Stool family to climax the Ga Homowo festival celebration which will be coming on in August this year.
Nii Ayi Ana Kon Teh I, Dzaasetse for the Ga Tunma We Royal Stool family of the Nii Ayittey Osu Clan on arrival was welcome by Nii lante Okunka , the chief of lante djan We and some priests and priestesses who gathered at the Lante Djan We Royal Stool palace to perform the ceremony on the harvesting of the corn and millet to climax the Ga Mashie Homowo festival celebration in Accra.
The programme even though was calm was not in it’s unusual joyous mood as the message from the farm gate where the corn and millet were planted were not a successful harvest due to unavailability of rains to allow it’s growth.
This According to the Ga custom and tradition, are signs of bad omen against whoever the leaders of the people of Ga and issues within the Ga State which are not acceptable to the gods and the deities.
The situation has currently put so much worry into the minds of all the elders, priests and priestesses in the Ga mashie Area in Accra.
It was noted this was the first time such a incident has occurred in the Ga State and could be considered as a sacrilegious act and an unacceptable customary consequence which has been reveal by the ancestral deities and the gods.
This situation will also create a lot of suspicion among the living, and what things are likely to occur during the coming years.
It would be recalled that this year very serious issues have been going on in the Ga State especially in relation to the Ga Mantse chieftaincy saga with several influences into the matter affecting the Ga Mantse throne and political influences to create capacity to an illegitimate self-styled claimant to the Ga Mantse throne.
These and some other issues going on within the Ga State are the signs being seen at the ceremony during the swearing and harvesting of the corn and millet to climax the Ga State Homowo festival celebration.
The priest and priestess say they are really worried and do not know what the consequences of such signs would be the outcomes.
They pray that these conditions and consequence could be reversed or managed in the shortest possible time should it appear.
But for now the people of Accra are holding on to their surprise on why the corn and the millet planted towards the Ga Homowo festival celebration did not grow.
But the mind burgling question was will history repeat itself again this year in relation to the pending controversies surrounding the Ga Mantse throne and it’s chieftaincy matters as to calamity on the lives of all the perpetrators of illegalities and falsehood against the Powerful Ga Mantse throne.
Meanwhile it will be recalled that some top government officials are allegedly behind the ongoing confusion among the people of the Ga State.
Nii Ayi Ana Kon Teh I, indicated they are supporting one person against the other in various forms, from the status of gazette to unseat the legitimate Ga Mantse and impose and illegitimate self-styled claimant onto the people of the Ga State.
Nii also cited that some time back in 2006 a similar incident occurred which resulted in several deaths of all the elders who were influenced by the Late Dr. Joe Blankson and some political personalities to be installed as Ga Mantse.
Today in 2021 the signs from the planting and harvesting of the corn and millet to mark the ban on drumming and noise making in the Ga State which has refused to grow after more than two weeks of planting has still not shown signs of growth, an indication that the Ga Homowo festival celebration has began with clear signs of customary and traditional sacrilegious challenges.
But will history again repeat itself in 2021? with multiple deaths as a second lesson to the ruling houses and leadership in governance of the Ga State, he bemoaned.
