Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability, ASEPA has just filed a petition with the Office of the Chief Justice calling for the exclusion of Justice Jones Dotse from all election related hearings since he is being considered for the position of Speaker of Parliament by the ruling NPP.

Executive Director, ASEPA, Mensah Thompson

The Executive Secretary of ASEPA, Mr. Mensah Thompson believes even though the issue still remains a rumor, it is enough to prejudice the learned Judge from making any independent determination of any election related adjudication he may be part of.

Justice Jones Dotse Vs Mensah Thompson

To this effect, he (ASEPA) is asking the Chief Justice to consider their petition before enpaneling judges to sit on both the Hohoe Injunction case and the Presidential Elections petition that may be brought before it by the NDC.
