Dr. Justice Moses Aheto a Statistician has thrown a challenge to any Statistical expert in Ghana who would tried to dispute him over the flawed Presidential results the Electoral Commission, EC declared in for Nana Akuffo-Addo but they fear.
The Electoral Commission, EC led by Jean Adukwei Mensah and Bossman Asare released several figures claiming they made up the percentage which made the Commission management body declared the 2020 presidential election results for Nana Akuffo-Addo.
The EC of Ghana presented about five (5) different figures to make Nana Addo President-elect at all cost when he did not obtain the right percentage a presidential candidate needs, 50% + 1 vote.
Dr. Aheto who is also a medical doctor prove beyond any reasonable doubt to point out the EC deliberately declared the 2020 Presidential results to rig the election for Nana Akuffo-Addo at all cost with those five different figures.
Speaking at the public forum organised by a Pressure Group called “Respect My Vote Movement (RMVM)” in Accra on December 15, he argued that all the results declared by the EC does not have a winner and no president-elect.
Dr Aheto further stated that, “I stands by my words and will never retract what I have said; I’m ready for any challenge from any Ghanaian who can prove that there is a president-elect from all the results declared by the EC”.
“….the Electoral Commission, EC must review the results with all the political parties involved and re-declare the true will of the people, he pointed out.
Nonetheless, Dr Justice Moses Aheto posited that, totalling all what the percentage should have been based on the total valid votes cast and the valid votes attributed to all the presidential candidates, and the total percentage will be : (50.098+46.260+0.786+0.0091+0.041+0.027+0.053+0.057+0.081+0.051+0.049+0.072)% = 97.67%.
Adding that this total percentage of 97.67 cannot be correct based on the total votes cast of 13,434,574 given by the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensah in her speech on December 9, 2020.
He further argued that this results did not include Techiman South total voter population of 128,018. “If this figure is added to the total valid votes cast given by the EC chairperson as 13,434,574, the resultant total valid vote cast will be: 13,434,574+128,018 = 13,562,592”.
To this effect, he revealed that in case all the votes of Techiman is added to the John Dramani Mahama votes, Nana Akuffo Addo’s votes will remain the same and his percentage would be 6,730,413/13,562,592×100% = 49.625% which is less than 50%.
Already, the opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC has stated categorically that, they will not accept the verdict declared by Jean Mensah and the EC.
The event organised by RMVM drew people from all walks of life, and other speakers who took their turn to address the forum pointed out that the formerly envious institution – EC which today is led by Jean Mensah and crop of new others are in bed with the ruling NPP led Nana Addo.
Other speakers include Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, Director of Elections, NDC; Nana Our Lithur, former Minister of Genda, Women and children Affairs and Comrade Murals Mohammad, former Deputy Minister of Local Government and MP-Elect for Tamale central.
