The Makola Women in Accra have warned Jean Adukwei Mensah, the Electoral Commission, EC Boss over what they described as her funny tricks to rig the 2020 Presidential Election in favour of Nana Akuffo-Addo.
The Jean Mensah and Bossman Asare led EC released about five different figures claiming they give the percentage which led to the declaration of the 2020 presidential election results for Nana Akuffo-Addo.
But the chairperson for Makola Women called ‘Makola Special Branch-NDC’, Madam Salomey Shasha Martei did not understand how a presidential candidate obtain a number of figures in just an election and was declared President-elect.
To this effect, she charged Jean Adukwei Mensah at EC to stop their antics immediately and declare John Dramani Mahama President-elect before is too late.
Mrs. Shasha Martei told National Tymes in an interview at an event organised by a Group called “Respect My Vote Movement (RMVM)”, where she argued that the country’s Electoral Commissioner sould not have come out to make such a declaration in a crucial elelctions without double checking facts to avoid unnecessary tention in the country.
She pointed out that since Nana Akuffo-Addo tookover this country in 2017/18 businesses collapsed, especially the women who go for goods in bulk to supply their customers on credit based are today facing serious financial challenges.
“We go for loans for the goods outside Accra for sale, and business was doing somehow good, but from 2018 until now, most of us women in Makola started experiencing serious decline in our finances, and our businesses”, she lamented.
“We’re all suffering, our businesses are collapsing and when we talk, they say Nana Addo brought Free SHS; so does it mean we should suffer?”, She quizzed.
“Makola Women, some of who play dual role at their homes are telling Nana Addo to live, he (Nana Addo) brought untold hardship to us in Ghana since John Mahama handled less sufferage Ghana to him peacefully.
“….we can pay for our ward’s school fees, Jean Adukwei must be very careful; it is not by force for Ghanaians to retain Nana Addo; somebody tell Adukwei to respect our votes; we want JM and our compassionate mother – Prof. Naana Jane to come to our rescue; we’ve had enough of Nana hardship; he should go and live us in peace ooo!!!”, she spoke Ga.
“Why! you alone registered Ghanaians under barrel of guns and vote under barrel of gun, why must you (Nana) be elected at all cost? Innocent people died because you (Nana Addo) want to rule us by force, we don’t need you again; live us alone oooo, Nana Addo”, Mrs. Shasha Martei echoed.
