Ayawaso Central Constituency NDC last Campaign Walk has deepens the woes of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP as the walk further revealed the Deputy Interior Minister and MP for the area, Henry Quatey is seriously dishing out money for votes.
The last walk prior to December 7 general elections, people who came out of their homes to cheer participants were testifying the NPP MP/PC has sent party people to give them money in envelopes to work with, or improve their businesses so they could vote for him (Quatey).
In an interview with Nationaltymes.com, after the walk, the Ayawaso Central NDC PC, Abdul-Raulf Tubazu, affectionately called Golden Boy, confirmed that the Deputy Interior Minister and MP for the area has been sharing money to buy the conscience of the electorates.
He added that not only has the Deputy Interior Minister being paying for votes but he also contracted a waist management company to go from house to house to pick the people’s refuse.
Mr. Tubazu, the Golden Boy indicated the Minister is using all these and other means thinking he could buy the conscience of the discerning electorates of the Ayawaso Central Constituency.
Golden Boy quizzed that if Deputy Minister Quatey has really performed well why must he go sharing money and carrying refuse for votes. He posited the Minister thought he could always take the electorates of Ayawaso Central for granted with his political gimmick, but the people are wide awake.
The NDC Parliamentary Candidate, PC further explained that all the infrastructure projects in education, health, roads sectors amongst other sectors are done by Atta-Mills and John Mahama governments.
The road re-surfacing project in the constituency was under John Mahama, and the NPP administration stopped the on-going work for over two years, and just started it recently for votes.
Some roads they are working on in recent times in the constituency for votes have started detolerating with serious pot-holds, said Tubazu. He also cited floods still disturbing the people of Alajo because some parts of the storm drain have fallen apart and the MP has no plans to do anything about the situation.
Ayawaso Central NDC PC, Abdul-Raulf Tubazu was proud to have supported some of these flood victims in Alajo to help curb their plight.
The massive walk in the Ayawaso Central Constituency scared NPP supporters who were dressed in their party colours and also embarking on a walk, to quickly removed their cloth and diverted their course unplanned.
