NII Komey PAPAYE ASA III of Papasi near Adjen Kotoku in the Ga West Municipality (Amasaman) has issued a statement of condolences to the family of the late Flt. Ft. Jerry John Rawlings who passed on last Thursday, November 12.
In the statement copied to National Tymes I Accra, Nii described the late former President Rawlings as one of the best leaders who led this country for 19 long years and the first President of the fourth Republic.
“I called him Papa J, and there’s nothing in this world that can make me forget about this legend”, Nii lamented.
“….his style of leadership is a leadership that I called leadership by example”, Nii Papasi pointed out; adding that, “I am saying this because I have worked under before at Koforidu and whenever he came to inspect the extent of work, he rather joined us himself to work together”.
Nii Komey further indicated late former President Rawlings was a discipline man who deals according to the law to anyone who committed against the law without considering whoever you are to him.
Nii Papasi added saying as a leader do what your people want and not you want on the back of the being the leader.
To this effect, Nii Komey Papasi III asked for God’s guidance for the Rawlings’ wife and children and make them strong in this trying moment.
Ghana has lost a great man, the Africa Continent and the world at large have lost a great man, which cannot get his replacement again.
May The Good Lord Keep You in His Bossom, Rest In Perfect Peace, Nii Komey Papasi III prayed.
In the concluding part of his statement, Papasi Mantse admonished Ghanaian youth not to allow themselves to be used for any electoral violance in the 2020 elections on December 7 to disturb the peace the country is enjoying currently.
Nii reminded the youth that no politician would give money and weapons to his sons cause violence at a polling station because they value lives of their sons and not that of others who maybe asked to go create confusion.
“If any political leader gives you money to go and create confusion, just take the money, go cast your vote, come home and use the money for fufu and eat and sleep, and they can’t do nothing to you”, Nii Komey Papasi III advised.
