The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) says the Flag-bearer of Ghana Union Movement, GUM, Christian Kwabena Andrews must pay Ghc250,000 should he wants to obtain Tax Clearance Certificate (TCC) ahead of this December polls.
According to the report, the leader of GUM had already cleared his personal Income Tax thinking he would be furnished with the necessary documents certifying him with TCC.
However, the nation’s authorized body tasked to mobilise revenue for the country, GRA, says otherwise indicating that personal income tax alone does not in any way guarantee one to be issued certificate.
The authority, further insisted upon extensive research to ascertain the number of businesses and other projects he owns including those under construction amounted to the tune of 250,000 cedis tax on all the projects.
It’s a huge amount of money for the flag-bearer of GUM whose house was robbed recently in Kumasi.
