IT WAS commissioning galore in Ayawaso East over the week as the Member of Parliament for the area, Lawyer Mohammed Ahmed Baba Jamal, and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Ibrahim Abdul Ganiyu, popularly known as Mallam Fari, embarked on the commissioning of several development projects across the municipality.
The exercise, which highlighted the growing collaboration between the MP and the MCE, began with the commissioning of the newly constructed Nima Roundabout, a major project that has beautified the capital of the constituency while helping to improve traffic flow in the area.
The entourage then moved to the Nima Government Clinic, where the refurbished Ambulance Office was officially commissioned.

The office was recently gutted by fire, but has now been fully refurbished to provide a more conducive working environment for ambulance officers.
The Medical Superintendent of the Nima Government Clinic, Dr. Gloria Abena Awuku, and the Principal Advanced Medical Technician and Station Manager of the National Ambulance Service at the clinic, Mr. Mahama Inusah, expressed their appreciation to the MP and the MCE for their swift response following the fire outbreak.
Dr. Awuku, who was visibly excited about the transformation, said the refurbished office had undergone significant improvement and now looked more attractive, comfortable and conducive for the ambulance officers.

Mr. Mahama Inusah also expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done, saying the refurbishment had brought significant changes to the office.
One of the ambulance officers used the occasion to commend the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) for its timely intervention and support following the fire outbreak.
Speaking during the commissioning of the Nima Roundabout, MP Baba Jamal said his vision was to make Ayawaso East the star constituency among all constituencies in the Greater Accra Region, if not the whole country.

He disclosed that several other projects were in the pipeline, including the completion of the resurfacing of inner roads across Nima, the recently completed pavement-blocking project on the major drain between Nima and Maamobi, and the ongoing construction of a new secondary technical school through the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund).
According to him, other critical infrastructure projects would also be pursued to further improve the living conditions of residents and give Ayawaso East a new face.

He stressed that Nima, as the capital of Ayawaso East, and its people deserved nothing but a total facelift, improved infrastructure and new development projects that would make residents confident and proud to identify themselves as people of Nima.
Some traditional leaders, led by Nii Futa, graced the commissioning ceremonies and commended both the MCE, Hon. Abdul Ganiyu Ibrahim, affectionately called Mallam Fari, and MP Baba Jamal for their collaboration and commitment to changing the face of the entire Ayawaso East Constituency.
The chiefs noted that the growing partnership between the two leaders could bring further development to the constituency if sustained.
