The Ga West Constituency (Amassaman) branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party, NPP in the Greater Accra Region has Inaugurated its campaign team aimed at the opposition NDC’s parliamentary seat.
The NPP Parliamentary Candidate, PC for the area, Mr. Akwasi Afrifa-Mensa said they needed to work harder to maximize the presidential votes and snatch the Parliamentary seat.
He informed the campaign team members to be prepared for the task ahead and they must glue to their phones to pick calls to facilitate their movements to go and campaign. We are not going to waste time on anyone, if you refused to live to up to expectation we will push you aside and move on, he warned.
The PC stated that, “we want to win this election at all cost, by every means possible”. He appealed to all NPP Constituency Executive, Polling station Executives, Coordinators, Supervisors and the party Volunteers who supported during registration exercise not to relent on their efforts going into the general elections.
Akwasi Afrifa-Mensa told the campaign launch that the Free Senior High School, SHS policy of the Nana Akuffo-Addo could do magic during the rounds to campaign for them to snatch seat and retain power come in 2021, but that demands extra effort to galvanize more votes.
He pledged that, “God willing if Afrifa-Mensah wins after December 7, 2020 general elections, I will never disappoint you but rather use my energy, time and even my wife and children to serve everyone in this Amasaman constituency”.
“…..for this reason nobody should wait for Afrifa to call you before you do your work…. or Afrifa is going somewhere so you follow him, no, start your work wherever you are”, he encouraged the 21 member campaign team.
The ceremony was informed Nana Akuffo-Addo restored nurses and teacher training allowances, and all members of then Unemployment Graduate Association of Ghana were employed into NAPCO and this collapsed the association.
Peter Mac Manu, the NPP National Campaign Manager and his entourage graced the occasion. He urged the Constituency Executive, the campaign team and the various Committees to hard work since this year’s elections cannot be won easily.
He indicated everyone would enjoy next year after Nana Addo retained.
He also congratulated the newly sworn-in 21 Amasaman Campaign team members and reminded them to work hand-in-hand with the various Committees at the polling station level for a resounding victory over NDC.
