IN A STRONGLY worded statement dated December 25, 2024, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has distanced himself and the regional executive committee from a letter purportedly circulating within the party and several social media platforms.

The letter reportedly requests the submission of nominees for national-level appointments.
Ashie Moore clarified that, neither he nor the regional executive committee was consulted or approved the directive. He described the move as a unilateral decision by the Regional Secretary, which contravenes established party structures.
“The letter has not been authorized by the apex level of the party. Members are advised to completely disregard it with the seriousness it deserves,” he emphasized in his statement.

He reassured party members that the transition team of the President-Elect remains focused on a smooth handover process and implementing the top 10 policies outlined for the first 120 days of the new administration.

The Regional Chairman’s announcement underscores the party’s commitment to adhering to proper procedures and ensuring unity within its ranks as it transitions into governance.
