THE JAMAN South constituency in the Bono Region witnessed heated protests today as NDC leaders, party supporters, and executives took to the streets with unsigned pink sheets, rejecting the Electoral Commission’s (EC) declaration of Hon. Col. Kwadwo Damoah of the NPP as the winner of the parliamentary seat.

According to Frank Kwaku Kpo, the NDC’s Constituency Director of Elections, their candidate had won the election by a margin of over 900 votes before figures were allegedly altered to favour the NPP candidate.
Kpo claimed EC officials were caught changing figures on the pink sheets in full view of party agents, election observers, and police officers. He added that after the NDC raised an alarm, the EC officials initially apologized, but the alleged manipulations persisted, culminating in the declaration of the NPP candidate as the winner.
“This brazen act of manipulation happened under the watch of the police, media, and election observers like CODEO,” Kpo stated.

The demonstration underscores the escalating tension in Jaman South, as the NDC vows to pursue all legal and political avenues to address what they describe as an electoral injustice.
Observers are watching closely as the dispute unfolds, with implications for the broader credibility of the electoral process.
