AYAWASO EAST Municipal Assembly has inaugurated the re-elected Assembly Members to ccontinue with their good works in the Municipality.

Out of a total number of seventeen (17) Assembly Members who were inaugurated, eleven (11) were elected Assembly Members while 6 were government appointees. 52 out of 55 Unit Committee members were also inaugurated.

Hon. Adjire Blankson, who addressed the ceremony on behalf of President Akufo-Addo, urged the assembly members to put in much effort to bring more development in the Municipality.

President Akufo-Addo implored the Assembly Members to adopt a strategy to improve on resource mobilization, make decisions including by-laws that would continue with the steady transformation in the Municipality.

He indicated that it was incumbent on the state to promote decentralisation and popular participation in governance by creating opportunities to the citizenry to participate in decision making at
all levels of government.
