THE ELECTORAL Commission (EC) of has intended to embark on a limited voter registration exercise starting from the 12th of September 2023 to the 2nd of October 2023, only in the district capitals ahead of the District Assembly Elections.

EC BOSS, JEAN ADUKWEI MENSAH.

But according to the NDC Deputy National Communications Officer, Comrade Ako Gunn, for whatever reason, the EC harboured an intention to carry out voter a deliberate suppression in the country in order to please Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, for the NPP to break the 8.

He explained that the move by EC implies that anyone who wants to be part of voter registration, the person must bus him/herself in this hard time to the district capitals to locate EC office to register for just the voter ID Card.

The EC Boss, Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensah, indicated that a qualified person without either Passport or Ghana Card, must come along with two guarantors with one of the two aforementioned documents.

The Deputy NDC Communications Officer indicated that the EC Boss, is deliberately directing potential voter registrants to transport others with the documents to vouch for them at the district capitals for the voter’s card.

He indicated that some district capitals in most of the regions of Ghana are very far apart from their people and these people have to travel from their areas to transect businesses and go back.

This, he said the EC Boss, Jean Mensah who is very much aware, does not care about their situations but to go and spend the little resources on them in this hard time just in name of voter ID Card.

Comrade Ako Gunn, aka Kun Fa Ya Kun, said for the past 2 years, no registration exercise has taken place, meanwhile those who attain the ages of 18, 19, and 20 years are required by Madam Jean Mensah to either travel from their current locations far to the district capitals for the voter ID Card or forget about it.

Worried Ako Gunn said no one could fathom to understand why this EC Boss, Jean Adukwei Mensah wants to engage in voter suppression by frustrating as many people as possible. “It looks like the Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo appointees don’t want to bring peace in Ghana”, Comrade retorted.

GODWIN AKO GUNN aka KUN FA YA KUN. NDC DEPUTY NATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER.

Nana Akufo-Addo deliberately appoints people who enjoy problems. People who cannot think for themselves or have questionable intentions, Comrade Ako Gunn fumed.

The decision for potential voter to travel from places just to register for the voter ID Cards at the far district capitals was described as bad decision and deliberate attempt for voter suppression, he noted. To this, Comrade Ako Gunn called for protest against this wicked arrangement.

He added saying that before the move, all efforts and preparations must be put in place, however difficult they may be. “I have started imagining the long queues and the problems that come with it”, Comrade Ako Gunn noted.

It is a hurdle we must cross, and we will cross it successfully, Insha Allah !!! Very soon, this cup will be lifted off our heads. Better days ahead, Deputy NDC National Communications Officer encouraged.
