THE NATIONAL Democratic Congress, NDC fraternity in the Ayawaso Central Constituency in the Greater Accra Region are crying seriously for total unity ahead of 2024 general elections.
Some die-in-the-womb followers of the party in the area appealed to the newly elected Constituency executives to work on togetherness.
They made the assertion that they (executives) could only harness the seat during the 2024 elections if there is a total peace and unity amongst the NDC fraternity and work harder towards snatching the seat.
They made this call during the handing over ceremony from former Constituency Executives to the current executives led by Chairman Harry Otu Hesse, who was formerly the Constituency Organiser.
The Ayawaso Central Constituency seat alluded the NDC for 28 years and all efforts to snatch it from the ruling NPP for all this while failed. This failure was as a result of divisions amongst executives and the party members, and unnecessary accusations and counter accusations.
The NDC fraternity in the Ayawaso Central Constituency must ensure that the call for unity must not be listed Service again.
The call by some of these serious NDC members in the Constituency arisen ones again when they heard some party faithful are being questioned why they donated a huge number of bottled water in support of the handing over ceremony today, Saturday 26, 2022 at Wembley, on the Kotobabi 7 school compound.
They charged that once a Chairman has been elected all other irresponsible actions that could mess up the call for needed unity to forge ahead, must stop immediately and rather think of how to recover the parliamentary seat for the NDC in 2024.
