CEO for West Africa Council of International Chambers of Commerce (CICC), Nii Ayitey Anumle Oyanka I, has appealed to the security agencies not to handle celebrities and superstars like armed robbers following their respected status.

Nii Ayitey Oyanka I, opined that selfish African leaders allowed scavengers to devour one of their own celebrity and African gent, Muammar Gaddafi.

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr. Aka Shatta Wale

The CEO of CICC expressed worried on the manner one of the Ghana’s most popular artist, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, but known showbiz circles as Shatta Wale was treated which in his view was not the best.

It was reported that Shatta Wale was arrested for spreading false information over an alleged gun attack on him.

Oblieman Mantse, though condemned Shatta Wale for rising false alarm, he was not happy with the Rambostyle in which the police used to arrest him and two others.

According to his observation, the celebrity artist was arrested as if he was a wanted  armed robber on police list, and he thinks the status of Shatta Wale in Ghana, he deserves to be arrested in a nice way and not a Rambostyle by the police.

It could be recalled that a special assistant to  Shatta Wale on Monday 18th October 2021 posted on social media handles that the musician has been shot by some unknown gunmen at east legon.

Nii Oyanka I, iterated in an interview with Nationaltymes.com that the case should be properly investigated and appropriate sanction be given or otherwise for justice to prevail.

Te Obilieman Mantse,  who doubles as Chairman of Anamase Royal Alliance and Abola Piam Royal Councils posited that, “I feel sad when I see and hear situations like this. I have been a victim of a similar situation and it was very difficult for me to defend myself and at the end of the day, I was exonerated”.

“…..what Shatta did was childish and nonsense, you could be a hero today  and the next day you are destroyed and neglected completely by your own people”, Nii Oblieman stressed.

IGP, Dr. George Akuffo-Dampare

But Nii asked, “what about the pastor who started this crap? This nonsense must stop in Ghana”, Nii Oblieman charged.

He recounted that last 2 years his palace was attacked by gun-wielding men and people were shot and his palace vandalised. The criminals were never arrested, and he was rather put behind bars for defending myself in my own palace.

After I had defended myself with mine licensed gun from the attack of the criminals before the police arrived, they (police) dealt with me for defending myself, and the criminals were allowed to go for free, is that Justice?, he Nii Oblieman quizzed.

“When I hear people praising the current IGP I laugh, this man was never liked because he doesn’t tolerate nonsense or accept bribes, and he was made to serve only short terms anytime he get promotion in higher offices then, because he was being professional and he refuses to be corrupted.

“Today people are praising him (IGP) because he has set a professional standard worthy for emulating by every professional put in an office to serve the people professionally”, Nii Ayitey Anumle Oyanka I, lamented.

Adding, Oblieman Mantse observed that the IGP, Dr George Akuffo Dampare would want to prove those doubting him (IGP) wrong; but he (Nii) appealed that in doing so he should be considerate to certain groups of people in society following their situations because they are always victims of the circumstance.
