Hon. Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey, has scolded the Ada East District Chief Executive, DCE, Sarah Dugbakie Pobee for her arrogance conduct, and asked her to apologise to the people.

In his closing remarks after the nominee was hardly confirmed on Friday October 8, 2021, the minister reprimanded the DCE to amend her ways and stop lording over the people.

Sarah Dugbakie Pobee’s Hands Rised After Securing The Two Thirds Votes Of Ada East Assembly Members

“I hear you went about begging people for the way you have lived with them for past four years but I have not seen it, I want you to apologise to them again in my presence to prove your sincerity, and not because you want to be approved.

“….you are working for the people and you must to not lord over them” he opined. The regional minister asked the Ada DCE to turn on a new leaf and see her mandate as DCE as a service to the benefit of the people.

To engender a cordial relations with assembly members for the overall development of the district, Mr. Quartey urged the DCE to be sincere and open to the members.

“Make allocations for Electoral areas development, though funds are scarce relative to development pursuits, use the little in the district’s coffers for ur constituents to feel some level of development in their vicinities”, he added.

As enjoined by the regional minister, the East Ada DCE who has just had her second term endorsement rendered official apology before the assembly members and the invited public, promising to change her ways for the better.

Sarah Dugbakie Pobee pulled 28 yes out of 39 votes representing 72% of total valid vite cast to begin her second term as the DCE for East Ada.

Listeners/viewers would recall the bizarre incident which marred the first confirmation of Miss Pobee when the then Presiding Member together with some assembly members were beaten by members of the the Invincible Forces, counting of ballots distorted resulting in the strange manner she was said to have been approved. All these occurred in the full glare of tens of police personnel from district, division and regional levels of the Tema police administration.

About 52 personnel from the Police, Fire Service, Immigration and Navy were at today’s confirmation, considering the history of Sarah Dugbakie Pobee’s confirmation.
