The biggest aircraft in the world, “Antonov An-225 Mriya” has landed at Kotoka international Airport (KIA), Accra, Ghana for the first time.

Only two of such largest aircraft were built in the world and the one in operation, Antonov An 225 Mriya flew from Leipzig  and successfully landed at KIA shortly after 4pm on July 7, 2021.

The successful landing of the six- engine plane, further cements Kotoka International Airport’s reputation as a world class airport capable of accommodating all types of aircraft.
