Hon. Western Region Minister who doubles as Member of Parliament, MP for Takoradi Constituency, Kobby Okyere Darko-Mensah has handed over a dormitory facility to the St. Mary’s Boys School’s Authority in the region.
The dormitory facility which was handed over last Monday, June 7, 2021 at Apowa, was expected to serve as boarding accommodation for the students.
According to the minister, Mr. Kobby Okyere Darko-Mensah, the goal of government to provide conducive facility for students who have interest to be in the boarding house in the second cycle schools.
“I relayed H.E. Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s message of hope and assurance to the guardians to remain very optimistic and comforted because the government will do everything in its power to make the schools best place for learning”, the Minister said.
“…..I called on the leadership as a matter of responsibility to take good care of the facility”, he added.
The Head of the St. Mary’s Boys Senior High School, SHS, the school Board, the teaching and non teaching Staff were impressed with the dormitory facility.
The School’s Authority promised to also maintain the facility to last longer to continue to serve the purpose of which it was built.
