The Chief of Opah in the Ga West Municipality, in Accra, Nii Ayitey Okuaonsuro I, has posited that it is hypocrisy for anybody to call for peace in the just ended general elections instead Justice.

Nii Okuaonsuro I, urged Christian Council, Catholic Bishops Conference, Peace Council of Ghana, Pastors, Civil Society Organisations and individuals demanding for peace in the country to first demanded that justice prevails prior to the just ended general election.

He described as hypocrisy for anybody to call for peace without JUSTICE which he noted that when the right thing is done the peace which the aforementioned Organizations in country are calling for, is automatically guaranteed.

Nii Opah made this statement during the celebration of his 75th birthday at Opah in the Ga West Municipality of the Greater Accra region.

Nii Ayitey Okuaonsuro I, known in private life as Daniel Brown was born on 5th December, 1945 in Accra. He worked with the Ghana Education Service as a Ga District Statistician and retired 15 years ago from active service.

“Though everybody seeks for peace, it will remain a scarce commodity if there is no JUSTICE”. Nii Opah stated. Adding, Nii Okuaonsuro I, underscores the need for political parties to tolerate the views of their opponents to foster peace and unity the country was enjoying.

He urged Ghanaians to renew their sense of patriotism and readily identify with their country rather than tribes and political parties to collectively work towards the development of the country.

Nii Ayitey Okuaonsuro I.

According to him, the citizenery should have the country at heart because Ghana is their motherland and stop insulting elders anyhow because the Bible which says, “we must love our neighbours as ourselves”, frowns on irresponsible behaviour.

Nii Ayitey Okuaonsuro I, also used the occasion to encouraged parents to priotize the education of their wards to become responsible leaders in the future.
