THE contest for the position of Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is gathering momentum, with aspirant Wonder Victor Kutor promising an aggressive 24-hour communication strategy to counter opposition propaganda and help the party retain power beyond the 2028 general elections.

Mr Kutor believes the NDC must move beyond its traditional communication methods and adopt a more proactive approach that will ensure the party dominates both traditional and social media platforms better.
Speaking to Nationaltymes.com in Accra, he said the 2028 elections would require constant communication, effective engagement with the grassroots and a strong response to what he described as false claims by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“We cannot pamper propaganda anymore. The NPP must be confronted with facts, figures and fire every single hour. If I become Deputy National Communications Officer, we will run a 24-hour communication machinery that will not give the opposition room to lie to Ghanaians again,” he declared.

Wonder Kutor said his communication strategy would be guided by three key principles: setting the political agenda, controlling the narrative and responding quickly to misinformation.
Four-Point Communication Strategy
He outlined a four-point plan to strengthen the party’s communication machinery.
The plan includes establishing a Rapid Response Team to fact-check and respond to claims by the opposition in real time; building a strong national youth digital team to promote the party’s messages online; introducing monthly training and motivation programmes for constituency communicators; and embarking on a nationwide Resetting Ghana Evidence Tour to showcase the achievements of President John Dramani Mahama’s government.

He said the NDC had enough achievements to communicate to Ghanaians and that the party needed a more effective system to publicise its policies, programmes and development projects.
“Thank God, President John Dramani Mahama is performing beyond expectation. We have roads, we have jobs, we have truth on our side. Our opponents have only empty noise and recycled lies. My job will be to make that difference loud and clear in every home,” he stated.
I Am Ready For The Job:
Describing himself as an experienced, loyal and fearless communicator, Mr Kutor said he had the experience and grassroots connections needed to strengthen the party’s communication front.

He said his involvement in radio, television and grassroots political engagements had equipped him with the skills to defend the party and effectively communicate its policies and achievements.
“I am not coming to learn on the job. I have been in the trenches, on radio, on TV, on the streets defending this great party. I am coming to support the National Communications Officer to make the NDC communication unbeatable,” he stressed.
He appealed to delegates to give him their massive support, promising to help build a united, well-equipped and effective communications team capable of winning public support and securing victory for the NDC in the 2028 general elections.
