THE PILGRIMS Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG) has announced the commencement of the first phase of mandatory medical screening for Hajj 2027.
The exercise will begin on Saturday, 3rd October 2026 at the Ummah Medical Centre, Jisonayili in Tamale.
According to a statement issued by the PAOG Communication Directorate, the screening is for all accredited Hajj Agents, especially those operating in Tamale and the Northern Region.

The PAOG has directed all accredited agents scheduled for the exercise to ensure full compliance to avoid delays and overcrowding.
Agents are to observe the following:
1. Register all prospective pilgrims in the special Hajj 2027 medical screening portal.
2. Ensure prospective pilgrims come along with their passport or passport number.
3. Ensure prospective pilgrims strictly adhere to their assigned appointments.
4. Ensure all information entered on the portal is accurate.

The Office said adherence to the directives is crucial for a smooth and successful screening exercise for all stakeholders.
