THE Salaga-South Constituency Chairman, acting on behalf of the Member of Parliament, Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, led a delegation to the Palace of the Kulibu Wura in Makongo to officially brief the traditional authority on the proposed Makongo–Salaga Private Passenger Transport Transit Project and to solicit his support for its successful implementation.
The proposed project seeks to develop modern ferry terminals, docking and embarkation facilities, vessel operations, and other complementary inland water transport infrastructure along the Makongo–Salaga corridor.

When completed, the initiative is expected to significantly improve transportation safety, boost local trade, and stimulate socio-economic development within the corridor and surrounding communities.
Responding to the delegation, the Yiram Kulibu Wura expressed deep appreciation and enthusiasm for the project. He noted that as a traditional ruler, his foremost prayer is for sustainable development that positively impacts the lives of his people.

He commended the MP and the delegation for bringing such a transformative initiative to the area and assured them of his full support toward its realization. Lamar Marine Services Ltd. has been designated as the firm responsible for executing the project.
