PRESIDENT John Dramani Mahama will today, December 22, 2025, receive the final report of the Constitutional Review Committee at 2:00 p.m. at the Presidency in Accra.
The committee, chaired by Professor H. Kwasi Prempeh, was set up to review Ghana’s 1992 Constitution and suggest changes to strengthen the country’s democratic system.
After months of nationwide consultations and detailed technical work, the committee is presenting its findings to the President. This marks the end of an extensive review process.
The eight-member committee includes Justice Sophia Adinyira, Professor Kwame Karikari, and former Electoral Commission Chairperson Charlotte Osei.

It was inaugurated on January 30 and was expected to finish by August, but the deadline was extended by three months due to the large number of public submissions received.
