THE MINISTER for Energy and Petroleum, John Abdullai Jinapor, has inaugurated a new Board for Prestea Sankofa Gold Limited (PSGL), a subsidiary of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), on behalf of the President.
PSGL plays an important role in the mining sector by extracting gold from old tailings and waste ore, helping to add value to Ghana’s natural resources while creating jobs for communities in the Prestea area.


Speaking at the ceremony, the minister urged the Board to work with professionalism, transparency and urgency. He said the company has a clear purpose and great potential, and with strong leadership, it can become a major player in Ghana’s natural resources sector once again.
The new Board is chaired by Hon. Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore. Other members include Kwame Ntow Amoah, Hajia Amina Adam and Alhaji Ishaq Dauda.


The minister expressed confidence that their combined experience will help restore the company’s operations, improve efficiency and drive long-term growth.
