THE University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) has emerged as the overall winner of the 2025 Ghana Universities Debate Championship (GUDC), held in Accra on Saturday, October 11, 2025.
UENR’s Forensic Society (UFS) made history by winning both the Main Debate and Novice Debate categories at the 12th edition of the national competition. The championship brought together 53 teams from 14 top universities across the country.
The UFS is a vibrant student-led club focused on training young leaders in public speaking, debate, writing, and encouraging engagement on important national and global issues.
Their impressive victory has not only brought pride to UENR but also highlighted the growing influence of student voices in shaping national conversations.
Organisers praised UENR for their outstanding performance and commitment to intellectual excellence.
